North Adriatic Ports Association

The NAPA North Adriatic Ports Association was established in 2010 by the port authorities of Ravenna, Venice, Trieste and Luka Koper to start mutual cooperation to increase the potential, the quality and the efficiency of the Northern Adriatic ports, transport infrastructures and related services with the general goal to become a European multi-port gateway. Rijeka Port Authority joined the association in the same year.

The five NAPA seaports are located at the northern tip of Adriatic Sea, a natural waterway that penetrates deep into the middle of the European continent, thus providing the cheapest naval route from the Far East via Suez to Europe.
